Core Description 
  • Responsible for the delivery of all mobile business solutions including the delivery of Telkom Mobile and FMC impacted Products and Services, all Fulfilment, Assurance and Billing system and process solutions. 
  • Provide assistance to business stakeholders in ensuring processes are documented and implemented for new requirements as well as Business Process Improvement enhancements to ensure an efficient and customer centric business implementation. 
  • Also serve as interface between business & software development team by acting on behalf of business in the SDLC process.

  • Job Responsibilities Elicit and analyse user requirements in terms of solution scope (30%-40%)
  • - Contribute to the Product Definition & Design to ensure that new products and services align to existing fulfilment and assurance principles
  • - Document business processes, deliver approved processes and ensure that world class solutions are developed for the Telkom mobile organisation
  • - Ensure business rule changes and process amendments are documented and aligned with production
  • - Compile User Requirement Specifications, Change Requests, System Configuration specifications and Business Impact assessment reports
  • - Ensure that system changes are implemented with quality and drive delivery of the business solution requirements for the division
  • - Communicate with stakeholders to analyse requirements & deliver full end to end business solution including associated process flows and system
  • requirements specifications with use case, interface designs as required
  • - Evaluate info from multiple sources, reconcile stakeholder requirements conflicts, decompose high-level information and designs into details and assess feasibility of user requests in context of existing processes and systems solutions
  • Engage with PM& IT on a regular basis during the lifecycle of the CR/ requirement (30%-40%)
  • - Act as 4th line support to identify the issues which service management and technical teams require assistance on
  • - Ensure that guidance, knowledge transfer and business solution review support to Junior BAs
  • - Investigate industry trends and best practices, review and optimise implemented business processes
  • - Ensure all documents delivered adhere to the approved internal documentation standards and governance
  • - Prioritise and own delivery of CR and URS within the agreed timelines
  • - Ensure that documentation and processes delivered meet the internal business analysis framework quality standards
  • Contribute to design sessions and Review Design documentation ensuring that the design satisfies business requirements (30%-40%)
  • - Review system test cases and compile business user acceptance test scenarios
  • - Ensure identified business and functional test scenarios are executed for approval and acceptance before deployment to production
  • - Ensure that the relevant business stakeholders are included in the acceptance testing phase
  • - Raise and track defects until resolution
  • - Handover to solutions to Training and Operational support teams (including Billing QA) with Operational handover sign-off obtained
  • - Review and quality approve the system training content
  • - Time/ project manage all BA deliverables for all requirements assigned and maintain weekly progress status
  • - Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • - Set standards on operational policies and procedures
  • Required Certification None.
  • Qualifications Relevant 3 year Degree/ Diploma (at least NQF level 6) Business Analysis qualification. Project management qualification desirable.
  • Experience 5 years business analysis experience, of which at least 1 year in mobile telecom industry OR 5 years solid business analysis experience on large projects. Systems analysis and experience with SDLC.
  • Special Requirements -Valid driver's license
