Position Purpose 
To manage, maintain and administer the entire Personnel Administration and pay functions for the business unit in relation to day-to-day matters of Remuneration, Personnel administration, HR policies as well as pay run.
Ensure that all policies are implemented monitored and maintained. To ensure that reports are submitted on time and accurately.

Position outputs 
1. Efficient execution of terminal remuneration as guided by HR best practice. Process payroll administration in order that
employees are paid correctly.
2. Develop and implement terminal practices which support savings on terminal costs.
3. Efficient facilitation and management of Time and Attendance systems in order to optimise system utilisation and
employee compliance.
4. Implementation of HR Best Practice blue print.
5. To manage and administer the personnel, pay functions,
to ensure that Remuneration policies are adhered to and that all employees are dealt with fairly.
6. Manage the personnel administration function for all employees to ensure that employees receive benefits due to them in
line with policy, and that benefits are not abused.
7. Provision of Human Resources management information services in order to ensure accurate reporting and management
decision making.
8. Management and control of all Human Resource admin and pay audits in order to ensure compliance with policies and
rectification of non-conformances.
9. Maintain organizational structures to ensure that manning levels are correct and job evaluation levels are maintained.
10. Make quick sensible business decisions regarding remuneration problems and deadlines pertaining to Junior Officers.
11. When an employee’s salary is a negative net, investigate why and rectify problem within a short period of time.
12. If a certain deduction is to high e.g. R2000.00 instead of R1000.00, investigate why and rectify if need be. Investigate and
rectify all ACB bank rejections.
13. Manage, investigate control and correct all personnel administration related problems pertaining to Junior Officers for all
employees. Ensure the correct application of remuneration policies. (Investigate and correct the application of 1.33 OT, 1.75
ST, 1.5 OT, 2.0 ST, leave policies.)
14. Ensure the correct application of Personnel Administration. policies.
15. Investigate and correct all SAP related problems e.g (Cannot run RP-Time therefore leave is reflected wrong on pay
sheet).
16. Investigate all info types on SAP pertaining to leave and rectify e.g (Fixed agreement allowance is correct; this allowance
is linked to an entry in the Organizational assignment on SAP)
17. Investigate the Organizational assignment unit; ensure that all post numbers are correctly linked to Jobs on the
organisation structure. Rectify for correct allowance.
18. Ensure that HQ created post correctly according to grades, organisation structure, and request from terminal and in line
with Policy e.g (The financial cost of an employee is going to the correct centre) .
20. Investigate the Org. Unit, ensure that all R&S in line and correct.)
21. Training of Timekeepers according to Timekeeping policy. (Capturing of data to SAP.)
22. (Guide sub- ordinates through difficult SAP transactions).

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Three year Diploma in Human Resources and Equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 Years Relevant Experience
